The Bolgatanga East District Assembly have handed over a 200unit dual desk to the Bolgatanga East Education directorate for onward distributions to 19 basic schools in the district that have a furniture deficit.
In brief handing over ceremony, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. David Amoah charged all beneficiary school heads present to take good care of the furniture. He added that, it was the Assembly’s responsibility to make sure that the furniture deficits in the district’s schools are eradicated.
The DCE further added that the furniture to be handed over is to help the teachers in the classroom boast their productivity, supervision and monitoring of the pupils. He added that he was happy with the schools for taking good care of the furniture the assembly had previously delivered to them and pray that they take very good of the ones to be handed over to them well too.
Hon. David Amoah, stated that, the assembly is almost done with furnishing the KG and primary schools and which he can say although not complete but fairly enough and the assembly’s next target is to concentrate on the Junior High School (JHS) to get them furnished with mono desks.
The director of Education for the Bolgatanga East District, Mr. George Asira, thanked the DCE and assembly for their continues support of providing furniture to the basic schools around the district. He also admonished the beneficiary school heads to take very good of the furniture given them, so that it will motivate the assembly to provide the education directorate with more furniture to advance teaching and learning.
