The Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates for the Bolgatanga East District commenced the 5day examination that will enable them transition to the senior high school on the 7th August 2023 at the Zuarungu Senior High School examination center.
This year, the total number of candidates sitting for the examination in the district is 698 for both centre A and B. The total number of boys are 307 while 391 are girls. Only one candidate was absent in this year’s examination.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. David Amoah before the candidates will begin their first two papers visited the examination center to give the candidates a word of encouragement and advise. In his brief speech, he called the candidates to be calm, confident and not panic, and as well adhere to examination instructions to enable them not make mistakes and pay critical attention to their invigilators as they guide them through the examination.
He further, advised the candidates to conduct themselves well and frown against examinination malpractices that when caught can lead to all the efforts they have put together in preparation to write the exams go in vain.
Hon. David Amoah, charged the candidates to make the district proud and wished them the best of luck in the examination.
