The DCE for the Bolgatanga East District in the Upper East Region, David Amoah has denied reports that work on the area’s Agenda 111 project has stalled.
While admitting that work sometimes slows, Mr. Amoah insisted that there has been no day the contractor and his men have left the site since ground was broken for work to begin.
He said this in a recent interview with A1 Radio’s Mark Smith.
“No, that is not true. The Agenda 111 in Bolga East is on. Sometimes, work slows down but it continues again. The contractor has not left site since they started.”
“Once a while, I get there and out that that work has slowed. Almost every 2 weeks I am there. They
explain that some materials may have finished so they would go and mobilize and come so you would see 2 or 3 workers doing some of the menial jobs until it picks up again,” he said.
Mr. Amoah said most of the filling had been done and the contractors were compacting the materials that had been used to fill the foundation. He insisted that “as we speak now, work is ongoing.”
